Sunday, September 27th
2pm - 5pm CT

A 3 hour writing course where we’ll dissect, interrogate, and challenge the white cisheteropatriarchal narratives that dominate the outdoor industry and “environmental canon.”

You’ll learn how to acknowledge and account for your identities, so you can show up in your writing from a place of authenticity and integrity.

This is for all writing levels. Beginners welcome.

Whether you want to pitch an article to a magazine, publish a book, or you’re writing in the form of thoughtful Instagram captions, this course can help you further your analysis on environmental politics and write through any medium for greater social impact.

Early bird pricing: $99 until Monday, August 24th!

Regular Registration: $125

Co-facilitated by Erin Monahan and Jordan Merica.

Erin Monahan (she/her) is a writer, speaker, mindset and strategy coach, climber, astrology lover, and the founder of Terra Incognita Media.

Jordan Merica (she/her) is a rabble-rouser and podcast host. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Philosophy in Dec of 2016. Then immediately decided what she really liked was writing tutoring, woods craft, and road trips. Jordan's approach is heavily influenced by her background in Non-Directive Tutoring. She studied this philosophy under the tutelage of Jeanne Smith at the Kent State Writing Center. Add a dash of unapologetic anti-colonial sentiment, and a healthy dose of cynicism towards the traditional canon, and Jordan couldn't be a better fit to help us breakdown the white, cis, masculinist narratives of the outdoor industry so that we can write new ones.
