Terra Incognita Media is hosting a "Feminism for the Outdoors" summit in June 2018, which will take place in Portland, Oregon. All genders, ages, and abilities are welcome to join our community for a weekend of workshops, speakers, panel discussions, and getting outside on beautiful Mt. Hood. Registration details TBD.
We are inviting some of today's most inspiring feminist thinkers, writers, and activists to speak about issues ranging from the history of feminism, to body positivity, colonialism and appropriation in travel writing, intersectionality, immigration and assimilation, resistance and being yourself as a radical act.
To make the connection between feminism and the outdoors, we will be camping over night on gorgeous Mt. Hood, just an hour outside of Portland, Oregon. The following day we have the choice of hiking, climbing, or swimming.
An inclusive community for the outdoors is the main reason why we started Terra Incognita Media. We want to nurture an accessible, intergenerational community. Coming together for this weekend will help us learn about each other, make connections that last, and figure out how to go forward with all that we have learned.
